  • As many apples as people who want dessert
  • ground nuts
  • jam (your favorite flavour)
  • honey
  • butter
  • marzipan
  • Optional:
    • sugar (brown or white)
    • vanilla ice cream

Apple corer or a sharp knife, baking dish and oven.


Preheat your oven to 190°C. Clean the apples thoroughly. Cut the filling holes with a sharp knife or an apple heartbreaker. The idea is to take out the corner, heart, seeds and bottom of the apple.

Cover with marzipan the bottom of the apple so that the ingredients do not escape. Fill with chopped nuts and jam/honey to taste.

Optionally add brown or white sugar. Add butter on top of the apples – on top of everything – and some pieces around the baking dish.

Put the apples in a baking dish and bake at 190°C for about 30 minutes, until the apples are well cooked and tender.

When done, remove the apples from the oven and spread them with the juice in the bowl.
